Chinese New Year in a nutshell

Here's my Chinese New Year celebration in a glance:

Went for a scope at the specialist hospital two days before my Chinese New Year break cos I've been suffering from stomach pain (on and off) for the past 6 months.






Results are out, I'm all clear! Just need to eat lesser and on time, doctor's orders. -__- This was when I just woke up from being sedated and having a camera scope go down my throat..


.. arrived in time for the office Chinese New Year dinner!

Second day, we moved the party to my mom's side of the family, where all 4 cousins who are born on the same year reunited.

Happy Chinese New Year, everybody! Trust you had a great celebration? Mine was okay, somehow not like other years. I guess this is part of growing up, you become less excited for the festive season lol. I dunno why but I was really not in the mood for the celebrations (maybe because I was not well the whole time and before that), I didn't even bother to buy new clothes. You can see from the photos I wore clothes from last year for the first and second day.

This Lunar New Year, like the Gregorian New Year, I wish for health and happiness. These two things (especially health) are so important. Especially after the whole hospital and scope episode, terrible terrible. Some more I went alone, which makes it scarier. But shout-out Farhaan and Kathleen who came to visit. And to Kathleen for babysitting me after I woke up from the sedation and chauffeuring me here and there.

May this new beginning be the start of a fruitful and meaningful year for you, on top of good fortune and luck. May you also enjoy good health in the new year and your family, safe and happy always!
